A fugitive on the run since Christmas Eve is finally cornered, captured, and booked into the Grady County Detention Center. It all happened just before six Tuesday evening.
CAPT Tim Gainous with the Grady County Sheriff's Office said, "Eye contact on the subject, hollered for him to stop, he ran into the brush, thick woods behind the house."
Thirty-eight-year-old Michael Ansley has been hiding from investigators for more than two weeks. The capture unfolded at dusk, and Ansley was holed up in a shed with nowhere to run.
A K-9 unit with the Southwest Georgia Drug Task Force sent into the building to sniff Ansley out. He now faces three counts of obstruction of an officer on top of his other meth-related charges.
