Former Florida State football star Marcello Church, arrested in April on a charge of sex with a minor, has been sentenced to four years probation.

Tampa Bay.com is reporting that the plea deal that followed a poignant letter of support from the alleged victim.

In her 2 ½ page letter to the state attorney’s office, the young woman, who was 17 when St. Petersburg police say she had sex on four separate occasions with Church and asked authorities not to prosecute the case.

Church’s attorney says the woman wrote that she "wasn’t a victim by any definition and she in fact was the “aggressor."’’

She says she and Church have learned from their mistakes in judgment and both have suffered enough.

Anonymous and GV, when are you both going to wake up. We dont have a "Black" President. We have a "Mixed Race" President. His father was "Black" and His Mother is "White". Sort of like when Halle Barry won the Oscar. She was not the 1st "Black" woman to do so. She was the 1st Mulatto woman to do so! This has no bearing on this case. A child molester of any skin color is just that. A child molester. The laws of our country say so. Your or my opinion dont cont unless you or I can change the law. The scariest thing I have read here is people defending someone having sex with a minor. Any minor, of any skin color. Get real grow up and no matter what you think we are all of the same race. The HUMAN RACE! A quote from James Pattersons book and subsiquent movie, A time to kill: "close your eyes and think, what if it were my daughter? Can you see her? Can you?" Now do you get it? Why is that so hard for you few?
