Returning veterans will soon get help with schooling thanks to a new program being started by the Department of Veteran Affairs.

Beginning August 1st, the Yellow Ribbon Program will help veterans enroll in classes at 62 schools across Florida, and improve their financial aid.

Keiser University is the only school in Tallahassee participating in the program.

75 veterans at each school will be eligible to receive three thousand dollars each year.

"We're very committed to our veterans and the military. We feel that they've done a great job. This program was really created after the 9-11 incident and it's really been developed around helping them, supporting them and providing additional funding for them," says Barbara Loven, Keiser University Campus President.

Keiser University already has 15 veterans enrolled at the school, who will be able to benefit from the new program.
