Gadsden County health officials are confirming an East Gadsden High School student has tested positive for tuberculosis.
A Health Department spokesman says notices were sent out to all students, faculty, and staff who were in close contact with the student.
Officials also say the health department will be on East Gadsden's campus Tuesday Administering free TB tests to students and faculty.
Students must fill out the complete form in order to be tested.
Tuberculosis is a bacterial disease that usually affects the lungs.
Health officials say the symptoms of TB include a low grade fever, night sweats, fatigue, weight loss, and a persistent cough.
Health officials say if anyone feels they need to be tested, please come to the health clinic in Gadsden County or call them at 850-875-7200, extension 330.
