A train accident involving a back hoe tractor in Lee, Florida ended in tragedy.
The Florida Highway Patrol says around 9 a.m. Monday a man on a tractor tried to beat the train. Troopers say the train blew its whistle, but collided with tractor and the man was killed on the scene.
The accident happened at the train tracks on Salty Farm Road. That's near Interstate 90 and Highway 255.
CSX officials, as well as FHP and the Florida Department of Transportation, are investigating. The man's name is not known at this time.
The train did not come off the tracks. It appears to be okay, but CSX officials are assessing it.
