Murder Probe in Gadsden County

Back in August, a Robertsville man was found shot to death near his home. Investigators hope a tip will lead them to the killer.

"It's been kind of terrible. We want someone to come forward; something to show up so we can get to the bottom of it," said Aaron Wilson.

Gadsden County investigators have exhausted all their leads trying to find the person responsible for the death of William Moses Wilson in August of this year. Investigators are now hoping the public will shed light on this murder mystery to bring closure for his family.

"We believe someone may have seen the suspect leaving this area following the shooting they may not realize it. We'd like for people to go back to rethink that night," MAJ Ed Spooner said.

Gadsden County investigators found William Moses Wilson some 118 feet away from his house. He sustained gun shot wounds to his face. He died shortly after paramedics arrived on scene.

Aaron Wilson says it's not uncommon for gun shots to be heard in this small community. He says had he known his brother was a victim he may have been able to save his life. Now the only thing that would bring him peace is knowing his brother's killer is behind bars.

"We just want to get the person who did it and make sure he's charged for the murder of my brother," said Aaron Wilson.

Anyone with information about this crime is urged to call Crimestoppers at 891-HELP or the Gadsden County Sheriff's Office.
