A convicted sex offender is arrested in the children's section of the Leon County Library.
Deputies say the man actually asked a librarian to help him pull up FDLE's sex offender web site so he could look himself up.
When the librarian realized he was wanted, she called the law.
"The key to this is because the librarian was astute, paid attention, saw that he was wanted. We were able to get a wanted sexual offender, especially out of the children's section of the library, and get him behind bars," said SGT Chris Chase.
Twenty-four-year-old Richard Dempster was arrested and charged with failing to register as a sex offender when he moved to Leon County.
According to Department of Corrections records, he just got out of prison in November after spending three years behind bars for child molestation.
