Graduation Day

Hundreds of Florida State University graduates came a step closer to entering the real world Saturday morning as they crossed the stage to receive their degrees.

The Leon County Civic Center was packed as family and friends of some 1,500 Florida State graduates were on hand for this year's fall commencement exercises. Many of the graduates say they already have employment lined up after graduation, while others admit they don't have a clue of what their future holds.

"It's funny you asked me cause I don't have a plan right now and I'm going to stick around for a few months and figure things out,” said Kelly Scarr, one of the newest FSU alums.

“I'm kind of one of those people, kind of looking around still. Don't have anything lined up just yet, just still looking,” said Alselmo Lambert.

Saturday's commencement speaker was Commander Dave Duryea of the U.S.S. Florida.
