A man wanted for murder in North Carolina was spotted and handcuffed on a Tallahassee street corner.
Tallahassee police say they got a call from authorities in Stallings, North Carolina Tuesday afternoon, saying a man wanted for a murder there was staying with his girlfriend in Tallahassee.
Within an hour, officers spotted the man near the corner of Orange Avenue and Country Club Drive.
"We went down to an address where they thought they would be, and sure enough about 45 minutes after the call from North Carolina, we spotted the suspect, and along with the North Florida Violent Fugitive Task Force, arrested him without incident," said TPD spokesman John Newland.
The man in custody is 18-year-old Marquie Walker, who Newland says was wanted for the December murder of his roommate.
