The Sunday before Christmas is traditionally the biggest shopping weekend of the year, and 2003 was no different. In Tallahassee hundreds flooded two area malls this weekend in search of Christmas gifts.
Many say they're tying up loose ends getting the final items on their list- but others admit they're just getting started.
Chad Edelstein, a store manager with GNC said, “This time of year people want to spend all the money they saved up, and look better for the new year.”
Shopper Lori McHatten said, ”This year was actually easier for me. I started Thursday and ended Saturday morning.”
Lori is not alone, just gauging Saturday and Sunday's crowds, many local retailers say this year looks more promising than last.
