The driver of Vehicle 1 has been identified as 24-year-old Lakechia Milton of Greenville, FL.

The Driver of Vehicle 2 was 36-year0old Daniel Nunez from Tallahassee, FL.

Milton was pronounced dead on scene.

According to Lieutenant Ellis with the Florida Highway patrol, around 6:30 a.m., a vehicle traveling west bound on I-10 spun across the median and into the east bound lane.

A car traveling east bound came into the car's path and the front end of the car struck the right side of the car that spun across the median.

Both cars came to a halt in the east bound lane.

The driver of Vehicle 1 (vehicle at fault) was a 24-year-old black female who died. Her identity will not be released until her next of kin is notified.

The driver of Vehicle 2 is a white male from Tallahassee who has non-critical injuries.

At least one person is dead after an accident on I-10 this morning.

The Florida Highway Patrol says the two car accident happened around 6:30 in Jefferson County between mile markers 222 and 223 traveling east bound on I-10.

East bound lanes are closed. Traffic is being re-directed at Exit 217.

We have no word yet on the passenger in the second vehicle.
