Benefit for Homeless Children

How about an afternoon of all you can eat spaghetti to benefit kids who have already seen many struggles?

Bethany Family Apartments have been a blessing for many homeless families who can stay here rent-free for four months, but with many children in the complex, there is one downfall.

This is their playground. The playground slash parking lot also concerns mothers.

“Cars are coming in and out. I'm concerned about my kids getting hit by a car,” says Pamela Donaldson.

Just beyond the pavement is this empty lot. Members of the Moose Lodge hope to raise money to build these kids a fun filled playground.

Pam Elrod, a Tallahassee Moose Lodge member, says, “It’s probably going to take a few of these fundraisers. We're trying to do it inexpensively. Either people can come or make a $5 donation.

Saturday the Tallahassee Moose Lodge on Capital Circle Northwest next to the new Home Depot will hold an all you can eat spaghetti dinner from 3-6 p.m.
