Thomasville, GA- The 56th Annual Deep South Fair is officially underway in Thomasville.
The five day event hosted by the Thomasville Exchange club kicked off Tuesday night and will go through Saturday.
There are rides for the kids, food vendors, a demolition derby, as well as a bake-off.
Organizers say the family fun festival has something to offer for people of all ages.
Ed Brooks, the President of Thomasville Exchange Club said, "We've got the petting zoo for the kids; we've got arts and crafts, the kids from the counties around did a great job this year."
The proceeds from the fair will go to providing scholarships for students in the area as well as prevention programs for child abuse.
The fair will be held at the Thomasville Fairgrounds, 2057 GA Hwy 122 (Pavo Rd)
It will be open from 6:00 p.m.- 10:00 p.m Tuesday-Friday and 3:00 p.m.- 10:00 p.m. on Saturday.
