Robbers Hit Tallahassee Bank

A masked robber struck at the Capital City Bank on the corner of Tennessee and High Road around 9:15 this morning.

Police say a customer was leaving the bank when the robber put a gun to her head and forced her back into the bank. He then forced her go to each teller window and collect money. The woman was later released unharmed.

There was a getaway driver waiting outside, and the two fled in a red Monte Carlo with a Miami Heat license tag: L-922-L. Police are still searching for the car, and trying to determine if the two were also linked to a carjacking that happened about a half hour before the bank robbery.

The robber is described as a stocky black man, about 5' 8" tall wearing a black t-shirt, tan pants and tan work boots.
