The head Seminole could not have received more timely news regarding his battle with cancer. Here's an update on his health, as well as a look back at 2003.
With one year under his belt, FSU President T.K. Wetherell admits the job can be a little overwhelming. No surprise the head guy says lack of higher ed funding was his biggest professional challenge in 2003, but personally Wetherell was dealt the biggest challenge of his life one month after being named president.
Making weekly visits to Jacksonville for prostate cancer treatments, the head Seminole tried to appear strong, but this week, T.K. learned he won't have to worry about "looking" healthy for 2004.
As for Wetherell's goals for 2004, the president hopes to increase graduate programs as well as snag a few extra dollars from the legislature, but the president admits a win over the Miami Hurricanes this fall is also high up on the list.
