Residents React to Hunters Targeting Deer in Their Neighborhood

Two men are under arrest and accused of hunting deer at night amidst the houses along Millstone Plantation Road. Leon County deputies say shots were fired in someone's front yard.

They found an eight-point buck in the back of the suspects' pickup truck. Deputies also found a spotlight and a rifle.

George Grimsley lives in the neighborhood where the hunters struck.

"It's really dangerous because they could kill a dog, or kill a person, or it could go into a house, so it's really dangerous and it's not good,” he said.

Twenty-year-old Jeffrey Gatlin and 21-year-old Brandon Marsh are under arrest. They're charged with night hunting and discharge of a firearm in public.
