It seems Valentine's Day is not just for lovers.
Several children in Perry were receiving bouquets of flowers, teddy bears and candy, and all of it came from their parents.
Teachers say every year parents send Valentine's Day gifts to their children, and the kids look forward to getting tasty treats and presents from their loved ones.
Some of the kids were making out with a handful of goodies.
Chelsea Aman said, "I thought my mom was going to wait until I got home and give them to me and she got a lot of stuff for valentine's day and she didn't tell me she got all that. She got a teddy bear and all."
Teachers say elementary kids weren't the only ones receiving trinkets of love; middle and high school students also got Valentine's Day gifts from their parents.
