Sunday groups around the world in Germany, Cambodia, California, Arizona and Tallahassee are celebrating World Religion Day. Leon County organizers invited speakers from several different religions to the Baha’i Center
Each leader rose to address the issue of intolerance in the religious community. The common message from all was an issue of tolerance and understanding that religions of all types have some very common goals.
"We have a lot to learn from each other and we have a great deal that we can share with each other about learning and understanding,” said Richard Mellman, of Gainesville Baha’is.
Speakers were invited from the Christian, Taoist, Islamic, Krishna and Baha'i faiths. The yearly meeting gives people the chance to experience and learn more about other religions.
