Two roommates had an argument, sending both to a local hospital and leaving one to face charges.

Around 1:11 this morning at the Quality Inn on North Monroe Street, 31-year-old Oscar Cruz and his roommate, 24-year-old Omar Lopez, had an argument over Cruz supposedly slashing Lopez's tires.

As the dispute raged on, Cruz is suspected of slashing Lopez across the neck with a box cutter.

Both men were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries where they remain. Once released, Cruz will be facing charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
