It was a sea of red with women from the Big Bend area attending their "Red Dress Luncheon" in Quincy. The guest speaker is no stranger to the community.

Dr. Alma Littles is a Quincy native with a lifelong passion for helping others.

Littles was sharing her dreams of a better community for Gadsden County residents. Health concerns have long plagued Gadsden County, and heart disease among women is one of them.

Alma Little said, "I have a strong connection to women in Gadsden County, so it's important to me that those people know what their risks are and what they can do to reduce heart disease, because it is the number one killer in this country, and ever more so in this county.”

The event also featuring a fashion show with local celebrities modeling the latest fashions, all of it red, of course.
