The first ever "Soup-A-Bowl" was held at the Maytag Store in Tallahassee. Cooks were invited to enter their best soup recipes in a tasting contest. The money raised during the "Soup-A-Bowl" benefits the Children's Miracle Network. "Miracle families" were on hand to enjoy some of the tasty recipes.
Kimberly Rooks is a mother in a "Miracle Family". Ten years ago we would not have her here if we did not have the technology that we had five years ago. So just the benefits of having the equipment that can detect these kinds of problems it basically saved her life."
A variety of soups were judged and the winners had a chance to take home several prizes.
