April 15 will be here before you know it, which means its time to get your W-2 forms in order. To help ease the pain of number crunching, dozens of community members are learning some tricks of the tax time trade.
More than 60 Florida A&M, Florida State University and Tallahassee Community College students gathered Saturday at Tallahassee Community College to be trained in the arts of tax preparation.
FAMU professors acted as teachers for the students. They say this is a trade that can be used all-year-round.
"It's very difficult. Hats off to FAMU professors who allowed the students to participate in this,” said Johnny Session of the National Association of Black Accountants.
Members of the Tallahassee community can head over to Tallahassee Community College to get their taxes done free-of-charge
