National Guard Soldiers Coming Home

After serving with honors in Operation Iraqi Freedom, these soldiers are returning home! That includes Tallahassee's very own 3rd Battalion, 124th Infantry 3rd Battalion.

The troops are scheduled to arrive sometime Friday evening at the earliest at Fort Stewart, Georgia, the same place they departed from last February.

For their families waiting patiently in the capitol city, this is a day they thought would never come.

"We've been doing a lot of praying so excited, we've heard rumors that once they get here they will kiss U.S. soil," says Nancy Suber, the mother of a soldier.

Local military families ask that if you've taken down your yellow ribbons, to pull them back out in honor of the troops homecoming.
