The 13TH annual "Open House" at the Laboratory in Innovation Park was full of lab scientists and researches showing who had the full attention of several curious onlookers. Some watched a quarter shrink to the size of a nickel, while others checked out the 45-T Hybrid Magnet System.

Fritz Davis and his son spent three hours enjoying the open house. "We saw rare earth magnets. We saw the second largest magnet in the world. It was really impressive."

The "Open House" gave visitors of all ages the chance to get hands on with the science demonstrations. Those who attended also had a chance to dig into a tasty treat. Visitors were offered ice-cream made from liquid nitrogen.
