Folks came out to Peck Greene Park in downtown Tallahassee to learn about the "Step Up Florida" initiative.
It's a month long, state-wide program promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyles in Florida residents.
This year's slogan is "Sixty-A-Day-The Florida Way", suggesting sixty minutes of physical activity a day to manage your body weight.
Jo Landrito is Leon County's Health Program Manager and says, "We want to reduce chronic disease in Tallahassee because we just need to increase productivity in school and in the workplace, get healthy kids and really reduce cost of health care".
The event offered informational booths showcasing community resources and demonstrations of different exercises.
