Parents and students in Quincy, Florida are clearing a path to some federal cash at the "Florida College Goal Sunday" held at East Gadsden High School.
Financial aid advisers are helping parents complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, also known as the FAFSA.
"I want to know if it's available for her, if can she get financial aid, and if I can tell others what I learned today, to help their kids, I would take it on to the other ones," said Sarah Anderson, a parent.
Organizers say, traditionally, low-income and first generation students fall through the cracks in the financial aid process.
Organizers also say "College Goal" aims to break that barrier with this free event.
