Chaplains Remembered

On Sunday, nearly two-dozen local vets gathered to remember the ultimate sacrifice of war. Every year for the past eight years they've honored four chaplains who gave their lives for their fellow servicemen.

As the story goes, the ship was taking the soldiers to war, when it went down. The chaplains gave their life vests to others.

Ray Stallings, who attended the ceremony said,”We should never forget any veteran that has died for his country these four chaplains sacrificed their lives so that other men could live."

The veterans light a candle in honor of each chaplain remembering how the ultimate calling for every soldier is to lay down his life for his country.
