A representative from The Georgia PeachCare Program tells WCTV they have come up with the funding to cover through March 31st. Because of people joining and leaving the program... there will be enough funds to last until the end of the month.
Cassandra Montgomery comments on the insurance crisis, "It's good and bad. It's good that they can at least have enough funding for another month. Bad is once you go past that month, then what are they going to do?"
Lilly May Banks adds, "There are some children out there, you know parents just can't afford it. And I think it's a good idea that they have come up with some to help those that are in need."
The program still predicts a 131-million dollar deficit... and has put a freeze on new enrollment until the insurance crisis can be solved.
