Florida Highway Patrol officials say three cars bumped into each other while waiting to merge onto the interstate.
A driver of one of the cars drove into the interstate, causing an oncoming car and a semi to swerve into a ditch.
Troopers say motorists need to use extreme caution in bad weather.
"Folks, if you’re in traffic, be where you’re supposed to be in to exit or go through. Don't wait until the last moment and try to beat the traffic, and then cut in, that's what causes all of these secondary wrecks," says LT John Bagnardi of FHP.
All of the drivers in this accident escaped with minor injuries.
