Twisters Have History in South Georgia

Since, 2000 the area has been hit hard, several tornadoes struck South Georgia in 2000, including a deadly Valentine's Day twister that claimed 19 lives in Mitchell and Grady Counties.

Fast forwarding a year, March of 2001 Grady and Decatur County are struck, injuring a dozen people.

In 2002, mother nature sends season greetings, when a twister strikes in Early County, but spares lives.

A tornado rips through Seminole County in March of 2005, killing one woman, and just Thursday night mother nature struck again, killing six people in Baker County.
