A program is taking off across the sunshine state giving college kids a safe lift.
The cab cash program is a prepaid taxi card for college students across the southeast.
The company has an exclusive agreement with City Taxi in Tallahassee so students can not only have a safe ride home after a night out, but a way to get around any time of day.
"I think it's a good idea just for students to get off campus to get food and also to do fun things like go to the dollar theater in Tallahassee. I know sometimes it's hard to just rely on people who have cars to get around so I think it would be a good idea," says Stephanie Brown, a junior at Florida State University.
A spokesperson for University Cab Cash says the program reaches 34 schools and gives parents a peace of mind.
