After more than six hours of deliberation in the murder case of Andre McKenzie, the jury has come back with a mistrial.
McKenzie is being tried for the April 1996 shooting death of Kenrick Burney. McKenzie is currently serving time for the 1994 slaying of Derrick McKenney.
Both sides say the jury spent a lot of time on the case, but wish the outcome would have been different. None of the jurors wanted to give comments following the trial, nor did and members of both McKenzie's family.
Because it's a mistrial, there will be a new trial and a new group of jurors selected.
The lawyers on both sides and the judge will set a new trial date on next Tuesday at 11:00.
