Staying informed with what's happening in Leon County will be easier than ever before thanks to the help of a new on-line tool.
Starting October 20th, GovDelivery will allow you to not only pick and choose what county updates you want to receive, but also how its received, either by text on your phone or to your email account.
"Everybody has some form of electronic communication, whether it's sitting at a desk with email or they're receiving information on their phone. This is a wonderful opportunity for them to get information instantly," says Leon County Public Information Officer Jon Brown.
Emergency notifications, road closures, commission agendas and even employment opportunities are just some of the updates available.
