At issue is the downtown community redevelopment area, and an internet poll shows a majority siding with the county's position.
According to the county, the results in this internet poll should be a message to the city of Tallahassee to back off.
Of the more than 1000 people to take the online survey in the city and county, 64 percent of county residents don't want the CRA, 47 percent of city residents don't want it either.
City Commissioner Allan Katz says there's a lot of misinformation out there, and it's hurting the whole community.
“I think there are many people who believe that the CRA would have Downtown businesses not paying taxes, which is absolutely not true. What it does is gives us an opportunity to build a vibrant downtown," says Katz.
"The more citizens learn about the issue, the less they like it. They're starting to understand this isn't about economic development," adds Vince Long.
County officials say the polls shows that people do understand the issue.
