They were there at the request of Attorney General Charlie Crist who wants some answers.
Representatives from five of the seven major oil companies went behind closed doors and had an opportunity to give what Crist called "rational explanations for what might be happening."

Crist said if there are no rational answers to rising gas prices, then lawsuits from Florida and other states could follow.
