Many alumni spent the day stopping at different tents, buying rattler gear, snacking on the delicious food that was just about everywhere you look, and of course, catching up with old friends.
There was no shortage of hugs and handshakes as former classmates and friends were reunited with one another.
For many alum making the trip back to rattler country is a tradition that's been passed on for many generations, and coming back to the hill brings back memories of their days here.
"We come back every year to celebrate. It's very special to us and it's a time to gather and celebrate for happy occasions," says Rita McCray, a FAMU alum.
Many people walking around have been coming back for decades and say FAMU homecoming is the highlight of the year.
