Sunday Stabbing

Updated: Mon 2:27 PM, Mar 22, 2004

A Tallahassee woman surrendered to police early Sunday morning after allegedly stabbing her husband and his female friend. Tallahassee police responded to the call at a home on White Drive around 3:30 Sunday morning.

When they arrived, police say the wife, 42-year-old Val Booth, was standing outside with a knife in hand. Officers say it all started when booth came home to find her husband with another woman.

LT Ken Bergstrom of the Tallahassee Police Department said, “As far as we can tell, wife came home and found them, in fit of jealousy attacked both of them.”

The husband and his companion were taken to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police say Booth has been charged with attempted murder.

The case is still under investigation.
