Thomasville Landmarks kicked off its community preservation project.
Volunteers started at nine Saturday morning... the main project of the day, priming three homes to be painted later on. Many of the volunteers have been helping out for years.
Carolyn Treadon volunteered her Saturday and says, "I think it's a great opportunity to get involved in the community and help people. To not only strengthen the individual person but also the community as a whole."
Jessica Staple, Thomasville Landmarks Programs Coordinator adds, "Contractors have volunteered their time, the community has donated materials and labor and lots of time and resources to us to help home owners on a fixed income."
And it's not too late to get involved. If you would like to volunteer you can contact the program coordinator at 229-226-6016.
