Double Murder Shocks Residents in Suwannee County

Kevin Musgrove and his son were camping at Talford Springs late Saturday night in Suwannee County when they heard screaming and shouting as a fight broke out.

"There was a bunch of fighting that started on the other side of the springs, and at about 11:30 or 12:00 we laid down and went to bed. Then I got up Sunday morning and a lady came up and told us there were two people killed."

Suwannee County deputies say they arrived at 203rd Road near the springs around 2:30 Sunday Morning. There they found a car on the side of the road with 27-year-old Javier Neria Rebolledo shot to death in the driver’s seat. Deputies say they noticed blood on the other side of the vehicle, indicating there was another victim.

Twenty-year-old Inocencio Rosado Fuentes was found in the woods near the car. He was rushed to the hospital with a gunshot wound, where he died.

Kimberley Lane left Talford Springs early Sunday morning.

"We left about 1:25 this morning and we saw a blue car up on the road and it was parked up on the side. The reverse lights were on and it wasn't moving. It was just sitting there and I just thought it was odd."

Suwannee County Sheriff Tony Cameron says the two victims were best friends who lived together and were well known in the Hispanic community.

"In my opinion it was somebody who knew both individuals. There was something that lead up to it."

For now the community where deputies say murders are rare, waits as investigators try to catch the culprit.

The Suwannee County Sheriff's Department and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement say they are investigating several leads and have suspects in mind.
