Tallahassee police and Leon County deputies have once again teamed up in the Weed and Seed operation to get more drug pushers behind bars.
Police say officers went undercover and purchased crack cocaine in several northwest Tallahassee locations.
March 31, officers arrested five suspected drug dealers at 1134 Bennett Street. Four more were picked up around the area during the same operation.
"Apparently this particular address on Bennett Street, the Police Department was receiving a lot of complaints about it and the people living there, things that go along with a drug house,” says LT Mike Langston of the Tallahassee Police Department.
Weed and Seed is a U.S. Department of Justice program to "weed" out violent crime and drug activity from targeted areas with documented reports and residential complaints of such problems.
