Dr. Jack Crow was honored for his hard work and dedication to the laboratory as founder and director of 13 years.
FSU President T.K. Wetherell says that Dr. Crow has done a lot for the magnetics lab and for scientists throughout the world.
"He's just a treasure and we want to make sure he understands how much he's loved and how successful this program has become but for his efforts," says President Wetherell.
Jack Crow, who was honored at the ceremony, says, "I feel somewhat overwhelmed by the attention given to me, but it's been a team effort and it's been an effort by a lot of wonderful, creative people."
A bust of Dr. Crow was revealed at the ceremony, the first of many to come as a part of the "legacy walk campaign" around FSU's campus.
