Relay for Life Wine and Cheese Tasting

One local team held a wine and cheese tasting Friday night to raise money for the charity. Event organizers say they hope to raise about $5,000 through Friday’s wine tasting.

A silent auction was also held. Folks had the chance to bid on items like an autographed FSU football and gift certificates. All of the money will go to benefit the American Cancer Society.

Dennis Malin, Team Captain for Relay for Life, says, "I'm doing this because my mother personally has cancer, so this is my way of paying tribute to her and I think that everybody, not only here, but in the community, knows somebody affected by cancer."
