Train Pain

Some motorists in the Rose City say there's a train track that is causing major headaches, especially when they're running late, but apparently there's a detour.

A pain and an inconvenience modestly describes what folks say about being stuck at a railroad train crossing.

"I'm late, I'm supposed to be at work at 9:00. I went up to Albany hoping I can make it back in time, it's not happening, this train is extremely long!" says Donald Williams.

If you're traveling north or south on 319 and you find yourself stuck at that train again, there's a little known secret in Thomasville that could save you a lot of time.

On Jackson Street or 319 South make a right onto Oak Street. Then a left on Clay, another left on MLK and finally a right back onto 319 and back track, traveling north on 319.

All aboard, for those who don't have a choice but to travel 319, wondering how much longer you'll be waiting at the crossing is a thing of the past.

CSX says they have no way of knowing when a train comes through town because there's not a schedule, but a friendly reminder, it's never a good idea to try and beat the train.
