The City Commission voted unanimously to go with the proposed plan developed by County Commissioner Tony Grippa and City Commissioner Mark Mustian.
Some city commissioners did voice concerns over portions of the plan, but said in the interest of ending the long fight and they wanted to move forward.
It acknowledges the city and county are putting in a certain amount of money totaling almost $50 million in the near term for Downtown. We are going to use that money wisely and try to help Tallahassee,” Mustain comments.
The proposed plan will be given to staff to finalize and then signed off by both commissions.
Both sides say they hope to start revitalization projects as soon as possible.
