When the combination happens, it will be in a new building where bond elementary currently stands.

Wednesday evening, Supt. Bill Montford met with parents and members of the community to find out what they want for the new school and the new principal.

"We're doing a needs analysis and needs preference for this new site. We're going to take the information we get and use it to pick a new principal for this school,” explains Montford.

"We want to make sure whoever is picked for this site is the best person for the job,” adds parent Anthony Black.

The new school will be the first built on the south side in more than 30 years.
