Moultrie Tech Disaster Training
Students and medical professionals team up for disaster training.

What happens if there is a terrorist attack, pandemic outbreak or a natural disaster? And are medical professionals prepared?
Those are questions instructors at Moultrie Tech are trying to answer. Today they held a mass casualty drill to test its medical response abilities.
The Southwest Health District teamed up with students in medical studies to participate in various scenarios. They practiced responding to a to a suicide bomber and a virus outbreak.
Jared Williams a participant says, "It helps me feel assured that if I'm ever in a situation and I need help, the right people will know exactly what to do to help."
Greene Shepard Emergency Management Trainer says," It shows the public health system in the state of Georgia is involved in all communities and providing disaster training for student and health care providers in the community so that in the event of a disaster we're ready to go."
The training will continue at Moultrie Tech until Thursday.
