A new library is about 80 percent complete, and a monetary donation will help finish the job.

Officials with the Nestle Waters Madison County Bottling Facility handed over a ten-thousand dollar check to the Lee Library.

The donation will go toward equipping and furnishing the 5,200 square foot building.

The money represents a quarter of the county's goal of $40,000 being raised from individuals and local businesses.

Nestle Factory Manager Rob Fisher said, "The economy is very difficult for people to be able to take and have a resource like this that the community can use, people of all ages. It's really a benefit to everybody. We're very happy that we can be a participant in it."

The library is being built next to Lee Elementary School.

It's expected to open in late January.

Holy $#!^!!! They recieved over $900,000 already to build this tiny library for the population of 400! That's roughly 2,250 per resident. What in the world is going on here? How many of these 400 can even read or will use this library? This is sureal. Now they need more to furnish it. I'm amazed that this could ever happen.
