A quadruple murder has sent shockwaves through Gadsden County as gunfire claimed the lives of a woman and three children.

The accused gunman turned himself in late Monday night. Investigators say he was angry over a breakup with his teenage girlfriend and said, "I just lost it."

Monday night gunfire ripped through a mobile home in the Hardaway community. When it was over four people lay dead, all shot repeatedly. Twenty-one-year-old Willie Smith, Jr. now faces four counts of first-degree murder.

Investigators say he was angry over a breakup with his girlfriend, 19-year-old Kimberly Walker, and wound up killing everyone in the house including her mother, 35-year-old Deondra Scott, her sister, 14-year-old Laterica Jackson, and her cousin, nine-year-old Terrell Brown.

Neighbors are stunned.

Both girls attended Chattahoochee High School. Grief counselors are there and friends who just finished clearing out their lockers say the news really hasn't sunk in yet. Counselors are also at Chattahoochee Elementary where little Terrell Brown went to school and at East Gadsden High where Ms. Scott worked.

Two other victims are two teenage sons in the same family who were not home at the time. They'll grow up without their family.

As for Willie Smith, he was arrested at his mother's house Monday night, turning himself in to a deputy who lives down the street.
