County Commissioners Look Into Creating Women's Health Center

The county says it's going to look at the Bond Community Health Clinic as a possible location.

Health officials say there's a need in the southern part of the county for better more inclusive women's health care and Bond Health Clinic would be a great location.

"What we're hoping for is a full woman's pavilion. Taking care of women from the cradle to the grave. Changing their idea of what it means to be healthy,” explains Dr. Temple Robinson, Medical Director at Bond Community Health Clinic.

"What we're looking to do is enhance and give access to people of Leon County who may not be able to access it right now,” adds Bond Community Health Clinic CEO J.R. Richards.

Last December the County Commission set evaluation of the Bond Clinic as a location for a women's heath clinic as one of its top ten priorities.
