Small business owners in Wakulla County got to kick up their feet for a couple hours and take a break from working.

An appreciation luncheon was held by the Chamber of Commerce to honor the men and women who bring service and expertise to the county.

Not only was their hard work recognized...but the business owners were able to network with other business owners in the community.

"It's mighty pleasant to go to a place and not be asked all the time for something although all of us are willing to give and we do give. We're part of the community and the community supports us and it's only right that you give back to the community," says Ray Boles, a small business owner for 40 years.

The business owners say they are continuing to urge people to buy local.

Read the ABT report: Yes, it's too bad Sheriff Harvey violated the law and called into question the liquor license. Yes, it's too bad Sheriff Harvey FIRED all those people at Christmas, no less. If Wildwood goes out, blame the Sheriff, not some phantom "they."
